SKF 6310/C3 Open Deep Groove Ball Bearing
The SKF 6310/C3 is an open single row deep groove ball bearing designed for smooth rotation and effective shaft support in industrial machinery. It accommodates radial loads and axial loads in both directions while maintaining low friction. Its increased internal clearance makes it suitable for assemblies where C3 clearance is specified.
Design and Construction
The SKF 6310/C3 features a single row of steel balls running between deep raceway grooves. A sheet metal cage separates and guides the rolling elements during rotation.
Its bearing steel construction provides strength and effective load support under suitable operating conditions. With dimensions of 50x110x27mm, it offers a larger cross section than the 6210 series while retaining the same 50mm bore.
C3 Internal Clearance and Open Design
The bearing features C3 radial internal clearance, which is greater than normal clearance. This helps compensate for reductions in operating clearance caused by interference fits and temperature differences between the bearing rings.
Its open design without seals or shields allows grease or oil to reach the rolling elements directly. Suitable external sealing may be necessary to protect against contamination and lubricant loss.
