The SKF 6010-2RS1/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing combines a 50mm bore with an 80mm outside diameter and just 16mm of axial width. This relatively slim 60 series profile is useful where a larger 6210 bearing, measuring 50 x 90 x 20mm, cannot be accommodated. Its single row deep groove raceways support radial loads and axial forces in either direction within the bearing's rated limits. Published specifications give a basic dynamic load rating of 22.9kN and a basic static load rating of 15.6kN. These values should be considered alongside operating loads, shaft speed and required service life when selecting the bearing for industrial machinery.
The distinguishing feature of this version is its C3 radial internal clearance, which is greater than normal (CN) clearance before installation. This can be important when tight shaft fits or a hotter-running inner ring reduce clearance in service, but C3 is not automatically suitable for every application. The 2RS1 rubber contact seals retain factory-applied grease and help restrict the entry of dust, dirt and moisture, reducing routine lubrication requirements. SKF specifies a limiting speed of 5,000rpm for the sealed bearing; continuous operation also depends on load, temperature and seal friction. A sheet metal cage separates the rolling elements. When replacing an existing bearing, confirm that the equipment requires both the 2RS1 sealing arrangement and C3 clearance, rather than the normal-clearance 6010-2RS1.
Typical Applications:
Electric motor bearing arrangements specified for C3 clearance
Industrial pumps and circulation equipment
Compact gearboxes and mechanical transmissions
Conveyor drive and rotating shaft assemblies
Industrial fans and enclosed drive mechanisms
