The SKF 6011-2RS1/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing combines a 55mm bore with a relatively compact 90mm outside diameter and 18mm width. Its 60 series geometry offers a smaller radial installation envelope than the corresponding 6211 bearing, making it useful where housing dimensions restrict bearing selection. The single row deep groove raceways accommodate predominantly radial loading together with axial forces in either direction, within the bearing's rated limits. SKF specifies a 29.6kN basic dynamic load rating and a 21.2kN basic static load rating, providing reference values for bearing-life calculations and assessment of operating loads. The SKF Explorer performance classification and pressed sheet metal cage complete a design intended for reliable industrial rotational support.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals protect both sides of the bearing, retaining factory grease while helping prevent dust, dirt and moisture from reaching the rolling elements. SKF lists a limiting speed of 4,500rpm for this sealed configuration; actual continuous operating suitability depends on load, temperature, lubrication and contact-seal friction. Crucially, the C3 radial internal clearance is greater than normal (CN) clearance, providing an allowance for the reduction in clearance that can occur when rings are interference-fitted or experience different operating temperatures. C3 does not mean the bearing is automatically suitable for every high-temperature application. When replacing an existing bearing, confirm that the original equipment requires C3 clearance rather than the standard 6011-2RS1 version, even though both share identical boundary dimensions.
Typical Applications:
Industrial electric motors specified for C3 clearance
Centrifugal pumps and circulation equipment
Industrial ventilation and fan drive assemblies
Conveyor drive shafts and power transmission systems
Enclosed machinery with interference-fitted bearing arrangements
