SKF 6006 Open Deep Groove Ball Bearing
The SKF 6006 is an open single row deep groove ball bearing designed for efficient shaft support and smooth rotation. Its deep groove raceway design accommodates radial loads and axial loads in both directions. The bearing combines low friction with a relatively slim profile for rotating assemblies that require normal internal clearance.
Design and Construction
The SKF 6006 features a single row of steel balls running between deep raceway grooves. Its bearing steel construction provides strength and effective load support under suitable operating conditions.
With dimensions of 30x55x13mm, this bearing offers a narrower outside diameter than the 6206 and 6306 series while retaining the same 30mm bore.
Open Design and Internal Clearance
The bearing has an open design without seals or shields. This allows grease or oil to reach the rolling elements directly and makes it suitable for equipment with an appropriate lubrication arrangement.
It features normal radial internal clearance for applications where standard clearance is specified. External sealing may be necessary to protect the bearing against contamination and lubricant loss.
