SKF 6007/C3 Open Deep Groove Ball Bearing
The SKF 6007/C3 is an open single row deep groove ball bearing designed for smooth rotation and effective support of rotating shafts. It accommodates radial loads and axial loads in both directions while maintaining low friction. Its compact design and increased internal clearance make it suitable for assemblies requiring the 6007 dimensions with C3 clearance.
Design and Construction
The SKF 6007/C3 features a single row of steel balls running between deep raceway grooves. A stamped steel cage separates and guides the rolling elements during rotation.
Its bearing steel construction provides strength and effective load support under suitable operating conditions. With dimensions of 35x62x14mm, the bearing offers a smaller outside diameter and narrower profile than the 6207 series while retaining the same 35mm bore.
C3 Internal Clearance and Open Design
The bearing features C3 radial internal clearance, which is greater than normal clearance. This helps compensate for reductions in operating clearance caused by interference fits and temperature differences between the bearing rings.
Its open design without seals or shields allows grease or oil to reach the rolling elements directly. Suitable external sealing may be necessary to protect against contamination and lubricant loss.
