The SKF 62210-2RS1/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing combines a 50mm shaft bore with a wider 23mm bearing section for equipment requiring a particular axial mounting arrangement. Compared with the conventional 6210, which measures 50 x 90 x 20mm, this bearing occupies an additional 3mm of shaft length. This difference matters when checking housing shoulders, spacers, circlips and adjacent components during replacement. Its single row deep groove construction accommodates predominantly radial loads alongside axial forces in either direction, subject to the bearing's rated limits. SKF specifies a basic dynamic load rating of 35.1kN and a basic static load rating of 23.2kN. These ratings, rather than bearing width alone, should be used when evaluating load capacity and service life.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals protect both sides of the bearing, retaining the factory-applied grease while restricting the ingress of moisture, dust and other contaminants. SKF lists a limiting speed of 4,800rpm for this contact-sealed design; actual operating suitability also depends on load, temperature and seal friction. The C3 suffix identifies radial internal clearance greater than normal before mounting. This additional clearance can help compensate for reductions caused by tight shaft fits and temperature differences between bearing rings, but it does not automatically make the bearing suitable for every hot-running application. A sheet metal cage separates the rolling elements, and SKF lists an approximate product mass of 0.53kg. When replacing a bearing, check both the 23mm width and C3 designation, as the normal-clearance 62210-2RS1 is not always functionally interchangeable.
Typical Applications:
Industrial electric motors requiring C3 bearing clearance
Conveyor drive shafts with 23mm-wide bearing seats
Pumps with specified increased-clearance bearings
Mechanical transmission and gearbox support assemblies
Industrial processing machinery with interference-fitted shafts
