Equivalent to 6902-2RS
The SKF 61902-2RS1 sealed thin-section deep groove ball bearing provides rotational support in equipment where a standard bearing would occupy excessive space around a 15mm shaft. Its 619 series construction offers a balance between compact housing dimensions and load-carrying capability, with a wider section than the ultra-slim 61802 bearing. The single row ball arrangement accommodates radial loads and moderate axial forces in either direction, within its rated capacity. SKF specifies a basic dynamic load rating of 4.36kN, a basic static load rating of 2.24kN and a limiting speed of 16,000rpm. These figures help engineers assess bearing suitability for small motors, precision drives and lightly loaded rotary equipment.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals retain factory grease and reduce the entry of dust and moisture, making the bearing useful where external lubrication is impractical. The contact sealing arrangement provides contamination protection but generates more running friction than an open or non-contact sealed bearing. Operating temperature and continuous speed should therefore be considered together. Normal radial internal clearance requires correctly selected shaft and housing fits, particularly where interference mounting may reduce the available running clearance. Accurate alignment and mounting forces applied to the appropriate ring are also important for protecting the raceways. The complete designation should be matched during replacement, as bearings with the same bore can differ in width, sealing and internal clearance.
