The SKF 6014-2RS1/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing is engineered for rotating assemblies that require a 70mm bore without the larger housing dimensions associated with heavier bearing series. Its 110mm outside diameter and 20mm width make it a useful choice where radial installation space is constrained. SKF Explorer construction provides a basic dynamic load rating of 39.7kN and a basic static load rating of 31kN. The single row deep groove raceways accommodate radial loads and axial forces in either direction, within the bearing's rated limits. Compared with the 6214, which shares its 70mm bore but measures 125mm outside diameter and 24mm wide, the 6014 provides a slimmer arrangement where the load requirements permit.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals retain factory-applied grease and help prevent dirt, dust and moisture from reaching the rolling elements. The bearing is supplied with C3 radial internal clearance, providing greater initial clearance than the normal-clearance 6014-2RS1 version. This allowance can be important where tight shaft fits or temperature differences between the rings reduce clearance during operation, but it must be selected according to the actual mounting and thermal conditions. SKF specifies a 3,600rpm limiting speed for the contact-sealed configuration. Actual operating suitability also depends on loading, temperature, lubrication and seal friction. With a sheet metal cage and no built-in relubrication feature, correct mounting and appropriate operating conditions are essential for reliable service.
Typical Applications:
Industrial electric motors specified for C3 clearance
Centrifugal pumps and fluid circulation equipment
Enclosed industrial gearbox and drive assemblies
Conveyor drive systems with 70mm shafts
