The SKF 6019-2RS1/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing provides rotational support for machinery using a 95mm shaft where the available housing diameter is limited to 145mm. Its 24mm width gives it a slimmer cross-section than heavier bearing series with the same bore, making it useful where radial installation space is a design constraint. The single row deep groove construction accommodates predominantly radial loading together with axial forces in either direction, within its rated capacity. SKF specifications give a basic dynamic load rating of 63.7kN and a basic static load rating of 54kN. These ratings are important when calculating bearing life and assessing sustained or occasional peak loads in industrial rotating equipment.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals protect both sides of the bearing, retaining factory-applied grease and helping prevent dust, dirt and moisture from reaching the rolling elements. SKF specifies a limiting speed of 2,800rpm for this sealed configuration; continuous operation must also account for lubrication, loading, temperature and contact seal friction. The C3 clearance designation is particularly important: it identifies greater-than-normal initial radial internal clearance, which can accommodate some of the clearance reduction associated with tight shaft fits and differential thermal expansion. C3 does not mean a larger shaft bore or automatically make the bearing suitable for every high-temperature installation. Correct fits, operating conditions and remaining running clearance must still be assessed. The bearing uses a sheet steel cage and should be matched by its complete designation during replacement.
