The SKF 608-2RSH/C3 miniature sealed deep groove ball bearing provides reliable rotational support where an 8mm shaft must fit within a compact 22mm housing diameter. Its 7mm width makes it suitable for small bearing seats in motors, rollers and mechanical drive assemblies. The single row deep groove raceways accommodate radial loads together with axial forces in either direction, subject to the bearing's rated capacity. SKF specifies a basic dynamic load rating of 3.45kN and a basic static load rating of 1.37kN. These figures are useful when evaluating service life and mechanical loading in miniature equipment. Unlike the normal-clearance 608-2RSH, this version incorporates C3 radial internal clearance, providing greater initial clearance to accommodate reductions caused by interference fits or temperature differences.
The 2RSH designation identifies rubber contact seals on both sides of the bearing. These retain factory-applied grease while helping protect the rolling elements against dust, dirt and moisture, making the design useful where routine relubrication is impractical. SKF lists a limiting speed of 22,000rpm for this sealed configuration; permissible continuous operating speed also depends on load, temperature and seal friction. C3 clearance does not mean that the bearing is inherently faster than a normal-clearance equivalent, and the correct clearance should follow the equipment manufacturer's requirements. When replacing a bearing, verify the complete 608-2RSH/C3 designation, as visually similar 608 bearings may use different seals, shields or internal clearances. Apply mounting force to the ring being fitted to prevent damage to the raceways.
Typical Applications:
Small electric motors requiring C3 bearing clearance
Compact cooling fans and motor-driven assemblies
Miniature conveyor rollers and drive mechanisms
Precision automation and positioning equipment
Small pulleys and enclosed mechanical transmissions
