The SKF 6202-2RSH/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing combines the familiar 6202 dimensional standard with an increased radial internal clearance specification. Its 15mm bore, 35mm outside diameter and 11mm width allow it to fit appropriately dimensioned bearing housings, while the single row deep groove raceways accommodate radial loads and axial forces in both directions within their rated limits. SKF Explorer performance specifications give a basic dynamic load rating of 8.06kN and a basic static load rating of 3.75kN. The C3 suffix is particularly important: it specifies greater internal clearance than normal before installation, allowing for clearance reductions caused by certain interference fits and operating temperature differences. It does not mean that C3 is automatically preferable for every machine.
The 2RSH designation identifies contact seals on both sides of the bearing. These seals help retain the factory-applied grease and restrict the entry of moisture, dust and fine particles, reducing routine lubrication requirements in protected rotating assemblies. SKF lists a limiting speed of 13,000rpm for this configuration, with actual operating suitability dependent on applied load, temperature and seal friction. The bearing uses a sheet metal cage and bearing-steel rings and rolling elements. When replacing an existing bearing, confirm that C3 clearance and 2RSH contact sealing are both specified for the equipment. A normal-clearance 6202-2RSH has the same principal dimensions but is not necessarily an appropriate functional substitute.
Typical Applications:
Small industrial electric motors with specified C3 clearance
Compact centrifugal pumps and circulation units
Industrial fans and ventilation drive assemblies
Light-duty conveyor and power transmission systems
Enclosed machinery with interference-fitted bearing seats
