SKF 6009-2RS1/LT10 Sealed Deep Groove Ball Bearing
The SKF 6009-2RS1/LT10 is a sealed single row deep groove ball bearing designed for smooth rotation and effective shaft support. It combines rubber contact seals, normal radial internal clearance and a special LT10 low temperature grease fill for machinery with specific lubrication requirements.
Design and Construction
The SKF 6009-2RS1/LT10 features a single row of steel balls running between deep raceway grooves. A sheet metal cage separates and guides the rolling elements during rotation.
Its bearing steel rings provide effective load support under suitable operating conditions. With dimensions of 45x75x16mm, it offers a smaller outside diameter and narrower profile than the 6209 series while retaining the same 45mm bore.
2RS1 Contact Seals and LT10 Lubrication
The 2RS1 designation indicates rubber contact seals on both sides. These help retain factory applied grease while limiting the entry of dust, moisture and other contaminants.
The LT10 suffix identifies a special low temperature grease fill. SKF designates LT10 as a lithium thickener grease with an indicated temperature range of approximately -50°C to +90°C. Actual bearing suitability also depends on loads, speed and operating conditions.
The bearing has normal radial internal clearance, not C3 clearance. Its sealed construction is intended for low maintenance operation without routine relubrication. Contact seals introduce more friction than an open bearing.

Bearing Selection
Before purchasing, confirm the 45x75x16mm dimensions, 2RS1 contact seal arrangement and LT10 grease specification against your equipment requirements.
Check operating loads, speeds, shaft and housing fits, and actual temperature conditions. The LT10 grease specification does not guarantee that the complete bearing assembly can operate at every temperature within the grease range.
If standard grease lubrication is required, compare the SKF 6009-2RS1. If increased radial internal clearance is required, select a verified C3 variant with the appropriate sealing and grease specification.
