The SKF 63006-2RS1 sealed wide-section deep groove ball bearing combines a relatively small outside diameter with an extended axial profile. Its 30mm bore and 55mm outside diameter match the standard 6006, but its 19mm width requires a different arrangement of shaft shoulders, spacers and housing retainers. It must also be distinguished from the much larger 6306, which has a 72mm outside diameter. The single row deep groove construction accommodates predominantly radial loading and limited axial forces in either direction, within its rated capacity. SKF specifies a basic dynamic load rating of 13.3kN and a basic static load rating of 8.3kN. The additional width should not be interpreted as higher load capacity: selecting a suitable replacement requires checking the actual ratings and installation dimensions.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals retain the factory grease and help exclude dust, dirt and moisture from the rolling elements. This provides useful protection in enclosed mechanical assemblies where routine relubrication is inconvenient. SKF publishes a limiting speed of 8,000rpm for this configuration, although permissible continuous operation also depends on loading, temperature and contact seal friction. Normal radial internal clearance requires appropriately specified shaft and housing fits to maintain suitable clearance after installation. With an approximate mass of 0.17kg, the bearing offers a compact option for equipment specifically engineered around its proportions. During mounting, apply fitting forces to the appropriate ring rather than through the balls.
Typical Applications:
Compact mechanical transmission assemblies
Industrial conveyor and transfer mechanisms
Specialised automation and indexing equipment
Enclosed shaft supports with restricted housing diameter
Machinery designed for 19mm-wide bearing seats
