The SKF 6303-2RSH/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing combines the load-carrying capability of the 63 series with increased internal clearance for demanding shaft arrangements. Its 17mm bore, 47mm outside diameter and 14mm width provide a more substantial radial cross-section than the smaller 6203 series, where sufficient housing space is available. The single row deep groove raceways support radial loads together with axial forces in either direction, within the bearing's rated limits. SKF specifications give a basic dynamic load rating of 14.3kN and a basic static load rating of 6.55kN. These figures assist with bearing-life calculations and the selection of suitable components for industrial rotating machinery.
The 2RSH designation identifies rubber contact seals on both sides, helping retain the factory grease and restrict the entry of dust, dirt and moisture. SKF lists a limiting speed of 11,000rpm for this sealed bearing, subject to operating temperature, loading and seal friction. Unlike the standard-clearance 6303-2RSH, the C3 suffix indicates greater-than-normal radial internal clearance. This additional initial clearance can compensate for reductions caused by tight shaft fits or differences in operating temperature between the rings, but it should not be selected automatically for every application. Excessive remaining clearance can affect vibration and running accuracy. Check the equipment manufacturer's clearance requirements and fit tolerances before installation, and apply mounting forces only to the ring being fitted.
Typical Applications:
Industrial electric motors requiring C3 clearance
Centrifugal pumps and fluid circulation equipment
Conveyor drive and material handling assemblies
Industrial gearbox and transmission mechanisms
Agricultural machinery and rotating shaft equipment
