SKF 6001-2RSH/C3 Sealed Deep Groove Ball Bearing
The SKF 6001-2RSH/C3 is a sealed single row deep groove ball bearing designed for smooth rotation and effective shaft support in compact mechanical assemblies. It accommodates radial loads and axial loads in both directions while combining protective rubber contact seals with increased C3 internal clearance.
Design and Construction
The SKF 6001-2RSH/C3 features a single row of steel balls running between deep raceway grooves. A stamped steel cage separates and guides the rolling elements during rotation.
Its bearing steel construction provides effective load support under suitable operating conditions. With dimensions of 12x28x8mm, it offers a smaller outside diameter and narrower profile than the 6201 series while retaining the same 12mm bore.
2RSH Contact Seals and C3 Internal Clearance
The 2RSH designation indicates rubber contact seals on both sides of the bearing. These help retain factory applied grease while restricting the entry of dust, moisture and other contaminants.
The bearing is supplied grease lubricated and sealed for low maintenance operation. Routine relubrication is not normally required.
Its C3 radial internal clearance is greater than normal clearance. This helps compensate for reductions in operating clearance caused by interference fits and temperature differences between the bearing rings. Contact seals provide additional protection but introduce more friction than an open bearing.

If normal radial internal clearance is required, the SKF 6001-2RSH may be more suitable. For machinery requiring direct grease or oil lubrication, consider an appropriate open SKF 6001 variant.
