Equivalent to 6911-2RS
The SKF 61911-2RS1 thin-section deep groove ball bearing is designed for rotating equipment where a relatively large shaft must be supported within a small radial envelope. Its 619 series proportions offer an intermediate option between the extra-slim 61811 and the wider 6011, enabling designers to balance available housing space against load requirements. The single row raceway construction accommodates radial loads together with axial forces in either direction, subject to calculated operating conditions. SKF specifies a basic dynamic load rating of 16.5kN and a basic static load rating of 14kN, with a bearing mass of approximately 0.19kg. These values provide a useful basis for assessing bearing life and the suitability of compact shaft arrangements.
The 2RS1 contact seals on both sides retain the grease fill and limit the ingress of dust, dirt and moisture. This sealed design is particularly beneficial in inaccessible or enclosed mechanisms where routine relubrication is difficult. SKF lists a limiting speed of 5,000rpm, although temperature, load and contact seal friction must also be considered when evaluating continuous operation. The bearing is supplied with normal (CN) radial internal clearance, rather than increased C3 clearance. Installation therefore requires appropriate shaft and housing tolerances to preserve sufficient operating clearance. As a thin-section bearing, it also benefits from accurate alignment and uniform housing support to prevent ring distortion during mounting.
