The SKF 6015-2RS1/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing is designed for rotating equipment requiring a 75mm bore, a 115mm outside diameter and a 20mm width. Its 60 series construction occupies less radial and axial space than the corresponding 6215 series, making it useful where machinery dimensions constrain bearing selection. The single row deep groove raceways accommodate radial loads and axial forces in either direction, subject to the bearing's operating limits. SKF specifications give a 41.6kN basic dynamic load rating and a 33.5kN basic static load rating. These values provide the basis for bearing-life calculations and assessment of loading in industrial shaft arrangements.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals retain factory-applied grease while helping prevent dust, moisture and other contaminants from reaching the rolling elements. Unlike a standard-clearance 6015-2RS1, the C3 version has greater-than-normal radial internal clearance. This can be important where interference fits or a warmer inner ring reduce clearance during operation, although C3 is not automatically the correct choice for every application. SKF lists a 3,400rpm limiting speed for this sealed configuration; actual operating suitability also depends on load, temperature and seal friction. The bearing incorporates a sheet metal cage and does not have a routine relubrication feature. When replacing an existing bearing, verify the complete designation, particularly the C3 suffix, and ensure mounting forces are applied to the ring being fitted.
Typical Applications:
Industrial electric motors requiring C3 clearance
Large ventilation fans and blower shaft assemblies
Industrial pump drive systems
Conveyor and materials handling equipment
Enclosed mechanical transmission assemblies
