The SKF 6030-2RS1/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing is engineered for large rotating shafts where radial space, bearing load capacity and internal clearance must be considered together. Its 150mm bore, 225mm outside diameter and 35mm width provide a relatively narrow radial cross-section compared with heavier bearing series of the same bore size. The single row deep groove design supports predominantly radial loads together with axial forces in either direction, within its rated limits. SKF catalogue specifications give a basic dynamic load rating of 125kN and a basic static load rating of 125kN. These ratings provide the basis for assessing fatigue life and stationary loading in industrial shaft support applications, including transmission and processing machinery.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals protect both sides of the bearing, retaining the factory grease and reducing the entry of dirt, dust and moisture. SKF lists a 1,700rpm limiting speed for the sealed configuration, although continuous operation must also account for operating temperature, applied loads and seal friction. The C3 radial internal clearance is greater than normal and is particularly relevant where interference fits or temperature differences between the shaft and housing reduce clearance during operation. C3 does not automatically make the bearing suitable for every high-temperature or high-speed application; the installed operating clearance must still be assessed. During replacement, confirm the full 6030-2RS1/C3 designation, as the normal-clearance 6030-2RS1 has the same dimensions but different internal clearance. Appropriate lifting, handling and mounting procedures are essential for a bearing of this size.
Typical Applications:
Large industrial transmission shaft assemblies
Heavy-duty conveyor drive mechanisms
Industrial processing and production machinery
Large rotating equipment with interference-fitted shafts
Machinery requiring C3 clearance in a sealed 150mm bore bearing
