The SKF 6319-2RS1/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing is designed to support large rotating shafts exposed to significant radial loading. Its 95mm bore, 200mm outside diameter and 45mm width provide the substantial bearing cross-section associated with the 63 series. The single row deep groove raceways also accommodate axial forces in either direction, subject to the manufacturer's permissible loading limits. SKF specifies a 159kN basic dynamic load rating and a 118kN basic static load rating, making these values important when calculating bearing fatigue life and assessing stationary or shock loading. As an SKF Explorer bearing, it is intended for demanding industrial applications where appropriate lubrication, alignment and mounting are essential to reliable operation.
The 2RS1 contact seals are fitted to both sides to retain factory grease and help exclude dust, moisture and process contaminants. Unlike an open 6319 bearing, this configuration provides integral sealing but introduces additional contact friction. Its published limiting speed is 2,200rpm, rather than the higher speed associated with the open design. The C3 internal clearance is another critical distinction: it is greater than normal before mounting and can help compensate for clearance reductions caused by interference fits and temperature differences between the rings. C3 should not be selected automatically, however, as excessive operating clearance may affect noise, vibration and load distribution. When replacing an existing bearing, confirm the full 6319-2RS1/C3 designation, fit requirements and available housing space.
