The SKF 6019-2Z double metal shielded deep groove ball bearing provides dependable rotational support for machinery using a substantial 95mm shaft while keeping housing dimensions comparatively compact. Its 60 series construction measures 145mm outside diameter and just 24mm wide, making it slimmer than the corresponding 6219 and 6319 series bearings. The single row deep groove raceways accommodate substantial radial loading alongside axial forces in either direction, within the bearing's rated capacity. SKF specifies a basic dynamic load rating of 63.7kN and a basic static load rating of 54kN. These figures are important when calculating fatigue life and assessing operating or stationary loads. The bearing's relatively narrow section makes correct shaft support, alignment and mounting arrangements particularly important.
The 2Z designation identifies pressed steel shields on both sides of the bearing. These non-contact shields help retain the factory-applied grease and limit the entry of larger dust particles and debris without the additional contact friction associated with rubber seals. This makes the 6019-2Z appropriate for relatively clean, enclosed industrial equipment where efficient rotation is important. SKF lists a 4,800rpm limiting speed for this configuration, although actual operating suitability must account for loading, lubrication, temperature and surrounding conditions. The bearing has normal (CN) radial internal clearance and a sheet steel cage. If increased clearance is needed to accommodate interference fits or operating temperature, the 6019-2Z/C3 is a separate designation. Metal shields do not provide the same contamination or moisture exclusion as contacting rubber seals, so heavily contaminated environments may require additional external protection.
