The SKF 619/4-2Z shielded miniature deep groove ball bearing is engineered for small rotating assemblies where minimal dimensions and low friction are important. Its 4mm bore, 11mm outside diameter and 4mm width allow installation in restricted housings, including compact instrument drives and miniature shaft mechanisms. The single row deep groove raceways accommodate radial loads and limited axial forces in either direction, within the bearing's rated capacity. SKF specifies a basic dynamic load rating of 0.624kN and a basic static load rating of 0.18kN. These ratings should be considered when assessing bearing life, shock loading and operating suitability. The bearing's compact 619 series geometry is particularly useful where a larger miniature bearing cannot be accommodated.
The 2Z suffix identifies pressed steel shields fitted on both sides. These non-contact shields help retain the factory grease and reduce the entry of larger particles without introducing the contact friction associated with rubber seals. SKF publishes a limiting speed of 63,000rpm and a reference speed of 130,000rpm; these are different catalogue parameters, not interchangeable guarantees of continuous operating speed. The bearing features normal (CN) radial internal clearance, bearing-steel rings and a stamped steel cage. As metal shields provide less environmental protection than contact seals, the 619/4-2Z is best used in relatively clean operating conditions. During installation, ensure the shaft and housing fits are suitable and avoid transmitting mounting forces through the rolling elements.
