The SKF 6014-2RS1 sealed deep groove ball bearing is intended for rotating machinery that requires a 70mm shaft bearing without the additional space occupied by wider bearing series. Its single row raceway design supports radial loads and moderate axial forces in either direction, making it useful for appropriately designed motor, pump and drive arrangements. The SKF Explorer bearing has a basic dynamic load rating of 39.7kN and a basic static load rating of 31kN, providing reference values for bearing life calculations and load assessment. Its relatively narrow 60 series cross-section is particularly useful when assembly dimensions are restricted, provided the application's loads remain within the bearing's capabilities.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals protect both sides of the bearing, retaining its factory grease and helping restrict the entry of dirt and moisture. This reduces routine lubrication requirements in enclosed machinery and equipment with difficult maintenance access. SKF specifies a limiting speed of 3,600rpm for this sealed configuration. As contact seals generate additional friction compared with an open bearing, continuous operating speed and temperature should be considered together. Normal radial internal clearance also requires attention to shaft fits, housing tolerances and thermal expansion; applications requiring greater operating clearance may need the separately designated C3 version.
Typical Applications:
Industrial electric motor assemblies
Centrifugal pumps and circulation systems
Industrial fans and ventilation equipment
Conveyor drive and pulley shafts
Mechanical transmission and auxiliary drive systems
