The SKF 63007-2RS1 wide-section sealed deep groove ball bearing provides a distinctive mounting option for equipment requiring a 20mm bearing width within a 62mm outside diameter. Its axial profile is considerably wider than the conventional 6007, which measures only 14mm wide. This difference is particularly relevant when positioning shaft shoulders, spacers and housing retainers, as the two versions are not directly interchangeable without checking the assembly. The single row deep groove raceways support primarily radial loads and limited axial forces in either direction, subject to the bearing's rated capacity. SKF specifies a basic dynamic load rating of 15.9kN and a basic static load rating of 10.2kN. These values should guide bearing-life calculations rather than assuming the extra width provides additional load capacity.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals retain factory-applied grease while restricting the entry of dust, dirt and moisture. This makes the bearing useful in enclosed equipment where routine relubrication access is limited. SKF publishes a limiting speed of 7,000rpm for this contact-sealed configuration, although actual continuous operating suitability also depends on temperature, applied loads and seal friction. Its normal (CN) radial internal clearance requires suitable shaft and housing tolerances to maintain adequate running clearance after mounting. Unlike the larger 6307 bearing, the 63007 has a 62mm outside diameter rather than 80mm. Replacement selection should therefore account for the complete designation, not simply the similar series numbers.
Typical Applications:
Compact industrial mechanical drive systems
Enclosed automation and indexing mechanisms
Conveyor shaft supports with restricted housing diameter
Specialised processing and packaging machinery
Equipment with 20mm-wide bearing seats
