Equivalent to 6907-2RS
The SKF 61907-2RS1 sealed thin-section deep groove ball bearing supports rotating shafts where available housing diameter and width limit the choice of bearing. Compared with the ultra-thin 61807 series, its larger cross-section provides greater load-carrying capability while remaining more compact than a conventional 6007 bearing. The single row ball arrangement accommodates radial loads and moderate axial forces in either direction, within its rated capacity. Published specifications give a basic dynamic load rating of 10.8kN, a basic static load rating of 7.8kN and a limiting speed of 7,500rpm. These values help assess suitability for compact mechanical drives, guide rollers and continuously rotating equipment where load capacity must be balanced against installation space.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals retain factory grease and help restrict contamination entering the bearing, reducing routine relubrication requirements. Contact seals create additional friction compared with open bearings, so operating speed and temperature should be considered together. Normal radial internal clearance must be matched to the intended shaft fits, housing tolerances and thermal conditions. Accurate mounting is particularly important in thin-section bearings, as excessive interference or uneven housing support can affect internal clearance and running performance. When replacing an existing bearing, verify the complete designation rather than selecting a different series solely because it has the same 35mm bore.
