The SKF 6305-2RS1 sealed deep groove ball bearing provides a durable shaft support solution for equipment where a 25mm bore must accommodate meaningful radial loads without excessively increasing machinery dimensions. Its 63 series geometry features a larger cross-section than the corresponding 6205 bearing, giving designers additional load capacity where the 62mm outside diameter and 17mm width can be accommodated. The single row deep groove raceways also support axial forces in either direction within the bearing's rated limits. SKF catalogue specifications give a basic dynamic load rating of 23.4kN and a basic static load rating of 11.6kN. These values are important for calculating service life, evaluating peak loads and confirming suitability for continuous or intermittent operation.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals retain the factory-applied lubricant and help restrict dust, moisture and other contaminants from entering the rolling elements. This sealed design is useful in agricultural equipment, electric motors and mechanical drives exposed to everyday industrial contamination. SKF lists a limiting speed of 7,500rpm for the contact-sealed configuration; actual continuous operating conditions must also account for bearing load, grease performance, temperature and seal friction. The normal radial internal clearance differs from that of the 6305-2RS1/C3, which has increased initial clearance. Correct shaft and housing fits are therefore important, particularly where interference mounting can reduce the remaining running clearance. During replacement, check the complete designation and avoid applying installation forces through the balls.
