The SKF 6016-2RS1/C3 sealed deep groove ball bearing combines an 80mm bore with a compact 125mm outside diameter and 22mm width. Its 60 series geometry provides a smaller radial cross-section than the corresponding 6216 bearing, making it useful where housing diameter is constrained. The single row deep groove raceways support predominantly radial loads together with axial forces in either direction, subject to the bearing's rated capacity. SKF specifies a 49.4kN basic dynamic load rating and a 40kN basic static load rating, providing essential data for assessing operating loads and calculating bearing life. As part of the SKF Explorer range, this bearing is manufactured for demanding rotating machinery applications.
The 2RS1 contact seals protect both sides of the bearing, retaining factory-applied grease while helping exclude dust, dirt and moisture. SKF specifies a limiting speed of 3,200rpm for this sealed configuration, with continuous operating suitability dependent on loading, temperature and lubrication conditions. The C3 internal clearance is deliberately greater than normal (CN) clearance and helps accommodate reductions caused by tight shaft fits and differential thermal expansion. It should not be treated as a universal upgrade: the appropriate clearance must be chosen according to the operating conditions. Featuring a sheet metal cage and an approximate weight of 0.868kg, the bearing is supplied without a relubrication feature. When replacing an existing bearing, verify the complete 6016-2RS1/C3 designation, especially the C3 suffix.
Typical Applications:
Industrial electric motors requiring C3 bearing clearance
Centrifugal pumps with 80mm shaft arrangements
Industrial fans and ventilation drive systems
Mechanical power transmission and gearbox assemblies
Conveyor drives with elevated operating temperatures
