The SKF 607-2RSH/C3 miniature sealed deep groove ball bearing provides reliable rotational support within a 7mm bore, 19mm outside diameter and 6mm width. Its single row deep groove construction carries predominantly radial loads while accommodating axial forces in either direction within the bearing's rated limits. SKF catalogue specifications give a basic dynamic load rating of 2.34kN and a basic static load rating of 0.95kN. The defining feature of this version is its C3 radial internal clearance, which is greater than normal clearance and can help compensate for clearance reductions caused by interference fits or temperature differences between the rings. C3 is not automatically preferable for every application; the correct clearance depends on the equipment manufacturer's requirements and operating conditions.
The 2RSH contact seals are fitted on both sides of the bearing, helping retain the factory-applied grease while resisting the ingress of dust, dirt and moisture. This makes the bearing practical for small mechanisms where relubrication is difficult. SKF specifies a 24,000rpm limiting speed for the sealed 607 configuration, although continuous operation must also account for load, lubrication, temperature and contact-seal friction. The pressed steel cage separates and guides the rolling elements within the compact bearing assembly. When replacing an existing bearing, check the full 607-2RSH/C3 designation: the normal-clearance 607-2RSH shares the same dimensions but is not necessarily suitable for applications requiring C3. During fitting, apply mounting force to the ring being installed and avoid transmitting pressure through the balls.
Typical Applications:
Small electric motors specified for C3 clearance
Miniature industrial fans and ventilation drives
Compact gearmotor and transmission assemblies
Automated positioning and motion-control mechanisms
