The SKF 6219-2Z double-shielded deep groove ball bearing provides a robust solution for larger rotating shafts where load capacity, smooth operation and long-term grease retention are important. Its 95mm bore, 170mm outside diameter and 32mm width suit industrial bearing arrangements built around the 6219 series. The single row deep groove raceways accommodate substantial radial loads together with axial forces in either direction, subject to the bearing's operating limits. SKF specifies a basic dynamic load rating of 114kN and a basic static load rating of 81.5kN. These ratings provide the basis for evaluating fatigue life and stationary loading in motors, conveyors and industrial transmission systems.
The 2Z designation identifies a metal shield on each side of the bearing. These shields help retain factory-applied grease and restrict the entry of larger contaminants without rubbing against the inner ring during normal operation. This reduces seal-related friction compared with the rubber contact-sealed 6219-2RS1, although metal shields offer less protection against fine dust, water and washdown exposure. SKF lists a 4,000rpm limiting speed and an 8,000rpm reference speed; these are different engineering values and should not be treated as interchangeable operating limits. The normal (CN) radial internal clearance also distinguishes this version from the 6219-2Z/C3, which has greater initial clearance. Check shaft fits, operating temperature, lubrication conditions and the complete bearing designation before replacement or installation.
