SKF 6311 Open Deep Groove Ball Bearing
The SKF 6311 is an open single row deep groove ball bearing designed for smooth rotation and effective support of rotating shafts in industrial machinery. Its deep raceway construction accommodates radial loads and axial loads in both directions while maintaining low friction. It is suitable for assemblies requiring the standard 6311 dimensions and normal radial internal clearance.
Design and Construction
The SKF 6311 features a single row of steel balls running between deep raceway grooves. A sheet metal cage separates and guides the rolling elements during rotation.
Its bearing steel construction provides strength and effective load support under suitable operating conditions. With dimensions of 55x120x29mm, the bearing offers a larger cross section than the 6211 series while retaining the same 55mm bore.
Open Design and Internal Clearance
The bearing features an open design without seals or shields. This allows grease or oil to reach the rolling elements directly and makes it suitable for machinery with an appropriate lubrication system.
It has normal radial internal clearance for applications where standard clearance is specified. Suitable external sealing may be required to protect the bearing against contamination and lubricant loss.
