Equivalent to 6819-2RS1/C3
The SKF 61819-2RS1/C3 extra-thin-section deep groove ball bearing provides rotational support for a substantial 95mm shaft without requiring the housing diameter associated with heavier bearing series. Its 120mm outside diameter and 13mm width make it particularly useful where radial space and axial packaging are tightly controlled. Compared with the 61919 series, which measures 95 x 130 x 18mm, the 61819 offers a smaller bearing envelope but a lower load-carrying capacity. Its single row deep groove construction supports predominantly radial loads and accommodates axial forces in both directions within its rated limits. SKF catalogue data specifies a 19.9kN basic dynamic load rating for the sealed 61819 design. Bearing selection should therefore be based on calculated load and operating life, rather than shaft diameter alone.
The 2RS1 contact seals on both sides help retain the factory grease and restrict the entry of dust, moisture and other contaminants. SKF lists a 3,000rpm limiting speed for the sealed version, subject to operating temperature, applied load and lubrication conditions. The /C3 suffix is an especially important specification: it indicates radial internal clearance greater than normal, allowing designers to account for clearance reduction from interference fits and temperature differences between the bearing rings. C3 clearance should not be treated as a universal upgrade, because the correct installed clearance depends on the application. When replacing this bearing, verify the full 61819-2RS1/C3 designation, housing dimensions, mounting tolerances and clearance requirements. Apply mounting forces through the ring being fitted to avoid loading the rolling elements during installation.
Typical Applications:
Large-diameter industrial shaft support assemblies
Space-constrained industrial transmission equipment
Specialised packaging and processing machinery
Enclosed conveyor and material-handling drives
Rotating equipment requiring C3 clearance and thin-section bearings
