The SKF 6207-2RS1 sealed deep groove ball bearing is designed for rotating equipment that requires a 35mm shaft bearing with a practical balance of load capacity, dimensional efficiency and protection against contamination. Its single row deep groove construction accommodates predominantly radial loads alongside moderate axial forces acting in either direction. SKF Explorer specifications give a basic dynamic load rating of 27kN and a basic static load rating of 15.3kN, providing useful values for bearing selection and service-life calculations. Compared with the slimmer 6007 series, the 6207 has a larger cross-section and higher load capacity, making it suitable for machinery where shaft loads justify the additional housing space.
The 2RS1 rubber contact seals retain factory grease and help prevent dust, moisture and debris from entering the rolling elements. This reduces routine relubrication requirements in enclosed motors, pumps and mechanical drive assemblies. SKF lists a limiting speed of 6,300rpm for this sealed configuration, although continuous operating conditions must account for loading, temperature and contact seal friction. This version has normal radial internal clearance rather than C3, so shaft interference fits, housing tolerances and thermal expansion should be considered before installation. Unlike the separately designated 6207-2RS1/GJN, the standard designation does not specify a GJN grease fill; replacement selection should follow the equipment manufacturer's complete bearing specification.
